Network with the isolated neutral (IT network)

Installation of the equipment in medical institutions demands special attention as ignorance and non-compliance with safety requirements can cause creation of threat of life of patients. Therefore for the vital spheres it is necessary to use the checked equipment.

Our company lets out electric equipment for medical institutions more than 20 years. In the course of work we consider wishes of doctors, designers and electricians that production not only conformed to standards and requirements, but also was convenient and clear in operation.

Classification of medical rooms

According to IEC 60364–7–710. 2001 depending on a type of the medical procedures which are carried out in rooms the following classification of rooms is provided:

Group 0 – medical rooms where electric devices aren't used

Group 1 – medical rooms where devices are used externally or internally, but accident of power food can't lead to death or serious damage to the patient's life.

Group 2 – rooms where primary malfunction in a power-supply circuit shouldn't lead to failure of the equipment of life support.

Premises of group 2 treat: operational, rooms of intensive therapy, anestezionny, rooms of preparation for operation, rooms of postoperative restoration, artificial heart and the room with the children who were born the prematurely born.

For power supply of electric devices in premises of medical institutions of group 2 for the purpose of ensuring the maximum electrical safety use of dividing transformers with the monitoring system of isolation of a network (the mode of the isolated neutral or an IT network) is offered.

The mode of the isolated neutral (IT network) is safe for the patient in case of short circuit and doesn't form a spark while at short circuit in network TN-S through the person who appeared under the phase tension dangerous current proceeds, and the powerful spark at breakdown can cause ignition.

For the TN-S transformation of a network to an IT network medical dividing transformers which GOST 50571.28-2007 have to correspond are installed. Also, in everyone operational according to GOST there has to be a post of remote control of the transformer and a condition of an IT network.

We provided different options of execution and a complete set of transformers for convenient use, depending on an installation site, from the LPU size, loading volume.

For installation in the room closed from strangers - transformers with extent of protection of IP 20

For installation in corridor niches, operational and chambers – transformers with extent of protection of IP 54. The case of such transformer is protected from hit of small subjects and dust, allows processing by sanitary means.

We developed some executions (schemes) of transformers which can be equipped with additional machine guns and the built-in system of AVR for convenience of selection of the transformer.

Execution 1. The standard dividing transformer equipped with the monitoring system of isolation, control of temperature and current of loading, 1 machine gun on an entrance and 1 at the exit.

Execution 2. The transformer with additional machine guns, quantity and which face value is specified by the Customer. Machine guns are installed in a transformer case and don't demand allocation of an occasional seat and installation of a guard.

Execution 3. The transformer with the built-in AVR for direct connection to reserve food is used in case of small clinic.

Execution 4. The dividing transformer with the built-in AVR and additional machine guns.
