Reserve power supply. UPS and diesel generator set

According to GOST 50571.28 medical institutions have to be provided with emergency sources of power supply which will support normal work of the medical equipment on during the set time period, in case of a problem of the main source of food.

In this regard, all LPU are powered on the first special category: 2 independent inputs and 3y input - reserve food.

For implementation of such scheme, we developed a board automatic input of a reserve (AVR) with various schemes of execution (see below).

Cases of AVR can be executed as an independent product, and are integrated into structure of GRShch or floor switchboards. Extent of protection depending on service conditions against IP20 to IP54.

The diesel-generator set (DGS) or the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) can act as the reserve power supply. The UPS is usually used when it isn't possible to coordinate the DGS installation (for example, for hospital in city cent). Time of autonomous operation of the UPS gets out proceeding from the maximum time of carrying out operation.

In other cases will be to install the diesel generator which the long time limited to the volume of fuel capacity allows to do without the main food more economically. DGS surely has to have function of automatic start. Thus it is necessary to pay attention that time of start of DGS fluctuates from 15 seconds to several minutes, and this time needs to be reserved by means of the UPS.

Scheme 21. The classical scheme with control on both inputs and switching of load of reserve input at accident of the basic.

Scheme 31. According to this scheme at accident on both inputs automatic start of DGU and connection of loading to it is made. At restoration of tension on any input – automatic switching in an initial state.

Scheme 22. Feature of the scheme that food of each group of loading in the regular mode is carried out from the input. At accident of one of inputs all loading switches to working input.

Scheme 32. Loadings are divided into two groups. Respectively there are two networks of food. AV – a working network. SV – a network of the protected power supply. The vital groups of loadings (operational blocks, emergency, emergency and evacuation lighting, the security and fire alarm system, the lift equipment, etc.) are connected to the last. In case of accident on two inputs at once DGS supports food only group of loadings of SV that allows to reduce the power of DGS and respectively a cost considerably.
