    Purpose of adjustable autotransformers

    The autotransformers are designed for manual and controlled regulation of 50Hz alternating current voltage. They are mainpower element in composition of the electromechanical stabilizer structure.
    The autotransformers are convenient for creation of different test desks.
    In contrast to electronic regulators, they have high efficiency and do not distort the sinusoidal voltage shape.

    Rated voltage is 230V, 50 Hz
    Regulation range is 0…230/250 V
    Design of transformers
    The autotransformers represent a toroidal transformer with a coal current collector rotating on the axle and contacting with an open winding. Open conductors of the winding are polished and coated by the nickel-based composition for improvement of the contact and increase of the wear resistance. Main part of the transformer is placed in the cast plastic housing and filled by a special compound.


    Ends of the transformer windings and the current collector contact are brought to the contact site. Theautotransformer is fixed by means of holes arranged on the insulated jacket. Steel end of the axle, using which the regulation is performed by means of a handle or a motor drive, is electrically insulated from the current collector that stays under voltage. So, the autotransformer may be easily installed on front surface of the electro-technical cabinet.

    In addition to the autotransformers presented in the Table, it is possible to order three-phase assemblies or parallel assemblies of the autotransformers with increased regulation current.
